Working with 8 other as a level designer

"How do we get as much gameplay as possible when there is little to no gameplay in this puzzle?"


Role(s) and responsibilities


Level Design:

During this project I was one of the three leveldesigners, creating the first and last level as well as assisting in the others as well as the general puzzle and mechanics design.


Tempus is a puzzlegame where the player have to combine precise movement, projectile bouncing and timing. You are trapped in a 2D world and time is working very weirdly. Time only moves when you do, which means your birds only move when you do giving you time to plan while playing the level.


Due to the mechanics of the game forcing the player to move in order to actually move the player's projectiles and the switches the levels need to be a certain length as well as the length between switches and sections need to be put perfectly in order for the players flow to remain.

Mechanics and powerups:


Kitty Kicks is a couch-coop game preferably played by 4 people in a 2v2 format. You are given a hyperactive kitty cat with the ability to jump really high and dash short distances. Your goal is to get the giat jarnball into the opponents goal, very similar to soccer. 

To your disposal you have the ability to pick up fishes (powerups) which could either allow you to shoot a mouse projectile or the ability to freeze the ball in place.


During this project i was mostly working on the ball physics, the general movement of the cats and the powerups.
